Talk about an all star cast…I give you The Rock, Ashley Judd, Seth McFarlane, as well as Julie Andrews and Billy Crystal in this fun comedy that is great for kids, families and mom and dad.
Tooth Fairy started out as an action film project for Arnold Schwarzenegger in the mid 1990’s, finally morphing into a major comedy film two decades later, for an up-and-coming athlete-turned-actor Dwayne” The Rock” Johnson. The former WWE wrestler, wanted to change his image and have some fun doing it.
Playing minor league hockey player Derek Thompsom AKA “The Tooth Fairy because he has broken so many hockey players teeth with his hard driving style, that word got to Princess Lily played by Julie Andrews. Who reassigned Derek to be a real life tooth fairy for two weeks. Derek was not a happy camper, but after a few days on the job he realized what it meant to care for other people instead of himself and opening the door to a new life and family.
Fun Fact: Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandell, who wrote “A League over their own”, wrote the script.
