This is an early Rob Lowe leading role and he gets to act alongside his brother Chad. You also get a dose of fellow Brat Packer Ally Sheedy is this film.

Rob Lowe stars as Nick Deangelo, Nick a very bright 21-year-old college student from Las Vegas, who loves rowing, gambling and Lady Victoria Wingate, played by Amanda Pays; a beautiful college student at Oxford University in England. Now, how does Nick this happen? First, Nick is a very good student in college, but not to get into Oxford, so, he hires a teenage hacker, played by Rob Lowe's real life brother, Chad Lowe, to get his grades up to Oxford standards and a great night at the crap tables with a divorcee, who gives all her winnings to him meet his “Lady.” In England. First Problem She is very popular and hard to find. Problem 2: She has a boyfriend, played by Julian Sands, who is also the captain of the rowing team that, in a few weeks, must Avenge a drubbing his father had to endure 25 years earlier, bye those Yanks from Harvard University. Nick, being, Nick meets and charms Lady Wingate, infuriates Colin, makes a new friend in fellow American student at Oxford, Rona, played by fellow Brat Packer, Ally Sheedy. Colin is somewhat impressed. With Nick’s talent as a rower, but fears losing his lady and finds who Nick really is and gets him kicked out Oxford. Ashe was packing to leave; Colin asked Nick if he could row with him against Harvard in the grudge match. Guess who wins?

Fun Fact:

This pretty good for Lowe, who has had a long career on film and television series, most notably the multi–Emmy Award TV Series, “The West Wing.”
