If you love sports documentaries, this is a film for you. If you like films about sports most people don’t follow, this one is not to be missed. It was shot in High definition

This is an excellent documentary featuring some of the best daredevil big mountain skiers you will ever see. The man who is often described as the greatest big mountain skier of all, the late Doug Coombs is the key character. He would die in a skiing accident in La Grave, France, in April, 2006, just days after being filmed for STEEP. His lived a rich life and his tragic death reveal the essential question at the heart of big mountain skiing: How does a skier weigh the risks versus the rewards of a sport where the possibility of dying is ever-present?

Fun Fact: big mountain skiing is a sport that barely existed before 1968. There are more and more of these shiers decades after this film was released in 2007.
